Free app for exploring the Three-Country Corner
The EuropeArt To Go app contains information on all the major buildings in the Upper Rhine region, from the Middle Ages to the present day. It can be installed on any mobile phone or tablet.
The app describes 330 points of interest and displays them clearly on a map. All buildings are georeferenced, so you can immediately view results in the surrounding area based on your current location and start your own sightseeing tours. The texts on the sights provide reliable information, compiled by renowned art historians and verified by local experts.
The texts are intended for a general readership and cover not only well-known buildings, but also lesser-known gems. This is the largest digital source of information for architecture enthusiasts. No comparable tri-national – and thus cross-border – app exists anywhere else to date.
It was developed by the Society for Swiss Art History (GSK), in collaboration with the Dehio Association (D), the University of Strasbourg's ARCHE (F), the Baden-Württemberg State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments and the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments.
The Europe Art to Go app is available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
