Highlighting the role of women in the fields of art, architecture and crafts from 1300 to 1980

Every building and work of art has a story behind it. The GSK has compiled an extensive list of the names of individuals who worked on the artworks and buildings featured in its book series. These publications focus on architectural heritage. While both men and women are mentioned, they play only a minor role and the contribution of women is rarely recognised. We would like to shine a spotlight on these craftspeople, starting with the women who have remained invisible until now, in order to rescue them from oblivion.
